When to use
Warming and relieving, Cajeput is often used in massage balms to relieve aches and pains whether caused by upset tummies, injury or rheumatism, and is one of the key ingredients used in Tiger Balm. Cajeput helps ease breathing conditions, whether they're caused by asthma, sinus congestion or a respiratory infection, making it ideal to add to a diffuser when viruses are around, and can also soothe a sore throat by breathing in the mist. It can be used as a disinfectant and is beneficial to help prevent the spread of infection. In skincare, cajeput can be used to treat oily congested skin although sparingly and never applied neat, as it can irritate the skin. It is also used as a fragrance and freshening agent in soaps, cosmetics and perfumes.

Traditional usage
A relative of Australian Tea Tree, Cajeput has many similar properties.  Native to Indonesia, it has traditionally been used to treat colds, flu and joint pain.

Energetics and subtle aromatherapy
In Chinese medicine, Cajeput is used for damp congested conditions due to its warming nature. It can bring focus when one is feeling tired and confused and would work well for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for creating clarity and focus.
