This balancing and detoxifying Combination Skin Blend #1 has a citrus top note with a sultry floral base note.
Created with clinical grade essential oils, our skin blends will help you feel good whilst you go about your daily skincare routine, and they'll help your skin cope better with the stresses of daily life.
This delightful blend is for combination skin that tends towards the oily T-zone as well as dry cheeks, and has sebum balancing and detoxifying properties. This is a blend I used often in my early days of aromatherapy, and then introduced my son to it in his teens.
This blend not only smells sublime, it has great benefits for your skin.
And here's why...
It's because of the properties of these essential oils.
Geranium Bourbon (Pelargonium graveolens) from Egypt is a lovely green floral scented oil that helps regulate sebum production, as well as assisting to regulate your hormones. Emotionally, it is a refreshing antidepressant and is known to be very helpful for anxiety, acute and chronic.
Clinical trials have also shown it to be antimicrobial, so that helps with any bacteria you've accidentally introduced into them.
Geranium's ability to regulate sebum production, so whether your skin is oily all over or just the T-zone, this oil will help prevent the oily areas becoming more oily, and the dry areas from becoming too dry. And it balances hormones, making this blend the perfect choice for period zits!
Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) from Australia. I love using grapefruit oil as it gently tones the skin whilst stimulating the lymphatic system and helps to clear up acne as well as balance oily zones. It has clinically researched antimicrobial and antiseptic properties and is known to help heal any breakouts.
Patchouli (Pogosetmon cablin) from Indonesia. This lovely musky spicy oil according to clinical studies has the wonderful ability to act like penicillin with bacteria in the skin, as well as being anti-inflammatory and helps maintain the structural integrity of the skin.
Emotionally this is a very sensual oil that helps reduce depression, anxiety, and insomnia.
Petitgrain (Citrus aurantium) from Paraguay. This oil is best known for its relaxing and balancing properties, however, it is also used to help tone down blemishes and even out skin tone, which is why I've added it to this blend.
How to use? Add 15 drops to 30ml of vegetable oil and gently apply to your skin. After 15 minutes tissue off the excess. If you like to wear makeup during the day, this blend is best applied at night.
You can also add this blend to water to create a mist spray, to apple cider vinegar to create a toner, to your moisturiser and to your cleanser. I do recommend you do not exceed the ratio of 15 drops per 30ml, otherwise your skin could become sensitive to this blend with long term use.
Packaged in a green glass bottle with dripulator top, in a box with instruction leaflet.
