It's because of the properties of these essential oils.

Elemi (Canarium luzonicum) from the Philippines. With its sweet lemony balsamic tone Elemi comes highly recommended for combination skin due to its ability to help reduce inflammation due to its cooling nature and it’s antibacterial properties help heal infected wounds, in this case the pimple or blackhead that got picked and has grown out of all proportion.
Emotionally, it has an elevating effect on your mind and spirit.

Ho Wood (Cinnamomum camphora) from China. This lovely oil is a tissue generator and is recommended for dry, sensitive and inflamed skin.< br/>Ho Wood balances your emotions as well as your skin, calming and uplifting at the same time.

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) from France. is well known for its calming influence across all levels. As well as being wonderful for sensitive and inflamed skin, it also helps with tissue regeneration.
Lavender can help reduce your stress levels and brings clarity to your emotions as well as your skin, calming and soothing at the same time.

Manuka (Leptospermum scoparium) from New Zealand. An NZ product has to have a little bit of NZ in it somewhere, and where better than this blend. Manuka is well researched in its ability to reduce skin irritation and promote healing, and also reduces pain so a great option with cystic acne.
Emotionally it is considered to be beneficial for fatigue, poor focus, and lethargy.

How to use? Add 15 drops to 30ml of vegetable oil and gently apply to your skin. After 15 minutes tissue off the excess. If you like to wear makeup during the day, this blend is best applied at night.

You can also add this blend to water to create a mist spray, to apple cider vinegar to create a toner, to your moisturiser and to your cleanser. I do recommend you do not exceed the ratio of 15 drops per 30ml, otherwise your skin could become sensitive to this blend with long term use.
